Ron Andrews Pool Closure September 4 - October 3
Ron Andrews Pool will be closed for scheduled maintenance September 4 - October 3.
All other programs at Ron Andrews will remain in operation during the pool closure.
Fitness classes, weight room, preschool programs, dance classes, sport programs, front office, racquetball and squash, and Windridge Preschool will continue as normal.
On Tuesday, September 7th from 8:30am-12:30pm BC Hydro will be shutting off power to Ron Andrews while they upgrade the main power panel. During this 4 hour time slot, fitness classes, squash and racquetball will be cancelled. Also the change room facilities will be closed. We will have modified weight room and front office operations. We appreciate your patience while we conduct this important maintenance on our facility.
Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) effective July 1, 2010
The Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) is a combined sales tax which replaces the GST (which applied to most of our services) and provincial sales tax (which was not charged on our services). We are required by law to collect this 12% tax on most of our programs and services (certain children’s programs are exempt).Because HST is 12% and the old GST was 5%, most of our prices have increased by the 7% difference. Northvanrec has not increased its before tax prices.
- At Northvanrec, HST will replace the GST and apply to the following:
1) All Memberships
2) All drop-in and public admissions, skate/helmet rentals, court bookings
3) Program registration fees (youth, adult & senior)
4) Facility rental fees
5) Products for sale at front desks
Note: Registered Programs for children 14 and under are HST exempt.

Automated PhoneReg service has been discontinued
Our automated phone-reg or touch-tone telephone registration system is no longer in service. In the last few years there has been a significant decline in its usage and it is no longer cost-effective to provide this service. All other registration methods such as eReg (Internet), in-person at facility front offices, and the Call Centre continue to be available.
