Family Recreation
Check out our free programs and low-cost programs for parents and their kids. The John Braithwaite Community Centre also hosts a $1 family drop-in session Sundays from 1:00 to 4:00pm from Sept. to May where the whole family can participate in activities in the art studio, gym and children's playroom.

North Shore Child Care Resource Program
The Child Care Resource Program is a community based non-profit service which promotes programs and projects which enhance child care services and the quality of life for children and their families. We provide a number of services for both parents, child care providers, and the community including:
- Newsletters
- Workshops and training courses
- Library of books, music, videos, and resources
- Equipment and toy lending resources
- Laminating and photocopying
- Computer Access
- Consultation and resources on start up and ongoing issues for child care providers
- Referrals to parents seeking child care
- Networking opportunities for child care providers
- Substitute list and child care job postings
- Information and referrals to community services
